Horror Festival
The Frights and Fears Horror Festival is a three-day celebration of the horror genre, uniting film enthusiasts, authors, artists, and local businesses in an immersive experience. This year’s festival promises to build upon past success with new activities and broader international participation. Events will include screenings of international horror films, a horror-themed scavenger hunt, makeup and costume contests, vendor opportunities, and a literary panel featuring horror authors.
Accommodations and key activities will be centered at The Inn at Leonardtown, Ascend Hotel Collection, enhancing the visitor experience in the picturesque and vibrant Leonardtown Arts District.

Key Features and Schedule
Day 1: October 24th
Opening Ceremony (6:00 PM): Introduction and welcome at The Inn at Leonardtown.
International Horror Film Screenings (8:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Showcasing short and feature-length films with post-screening Q&A sessions.
Day 2: October 25th
Vendor and Artist Marketplace (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM): Featuring horror-themed goods, art, and crafts.
Horror Book/Author Panel (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM): Discussions and book signings by celebrated horror authors.
Makeup and Costume Contests (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM): A showcase of creativity judged by industry professionals, with prizes for winners.
Horror-Themed Scavenger Hunt (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM): Teams explore the Arts District in search of clues, culminating in gift bags for the winners.
Film Screening (8:00 PM - 11:00 PM): Screening of the festival’s most anticipated film, followed by awards for filmmakers and scavenger hunt winners.
Day 2: October 26th
Closing Day Film Screening and Awards (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Screening of the festival’s most anticipated film, followed by awards for filmmakers and scavenger hunt winners.

Click here to register for a vending table at Art Alley. Vending tables are $50 for 6ft space. Merchants provide their own table and chairs.
